Three Laws of Arthur C.
I - When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, it is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, it is probable I'm wrong.
II - The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to venture a little beyond them into the impossible.
III - Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

U.S. ambassadors around the world received an order that stunned them:
- Buy currency of the country where they are, to pay one year's expenses of the embassy! -
- Do you think WTF? -
It's the truth! To the security of a sharp devaluation of the dollar in the next 6 months are transformer dollars in local currencies.
But of course that the Yankees did not forget their British pimps, in the order was a clarification:
- Buy any currency except sterling! -
These are friends!

This year, the number of hours paid by employers fell almost 8%, but produced goods fell only 1.7%.
Breeding Miracle of the loaves?
None of this, workers in fear of being fired, worked more, offsetting the lack of others.
The result is that U.S. productivity increased by 6.4%, and wages were the same.

Dr Seuss Party Invite
Paul Delille and chaos in Argentina
A fantastic example of chaos theory was verified in the early 1950's through the work of French researcher and Professor Paul Felix Armand-Delille.
Delille was a famous scientist born in 1874, with a distinguished career that took him to be a member of the French Academy of Sciences and a member of the Legion of Honor.
facts suggest it as a character in this post are not related to their research work, but something that occurred well after each meeting.
Delille was a property of some length in the north-central France. It was, like many European lands, a certain population of rabbits. This animal had become a pest in parts of the continent, and Delille read that Australia had achieved control over certain virus inoculation: the myxomatosis.
Determined to eliminate the rabbits on their property, it was decided to experiment by inoculating rabbits with only two people of the same, with a strain of the virus that managed to get through completely legal means. Delille expected that any effect on the population would be confined within its grounds, which had certain characteristics of confinement.
The success was complete: almost the entire population of rabbits died within about 6 weeks into the experiment.
The problem came later, about four months later.
A rabbit was found dead victim of the virus to a very considerable distance from their property.
The estimate, within a year of beginning of the experiment was that 45% of the total population of wild rabbits, and 35% of household had died a victim of the virus.
Within four years following rabbit populations in Spain, France, Holland, Belgium, Britain and Belgium had almost disappeared .
Myxomatosis was infected by blood-sucking arthropods, and the strain chosen by Delille was obviously a very toxic capacity greater than that used in Australia.
Strictly speaking, another disease contributed to the massacre: the hemorragicovírica was especially lethal pneumonia in Spain, "acting" in coordination with myxomatosis (an attack in winter, the other in summer.)
Obviously, Delille met its goal of eradicating the pest in its field. The side effect was nothing less the almost total elimination of the rabbit population by more than half of Europe, with side as the near extinction of imperial eagles and lynx .
Chaos theory is certainly very complex from a mathematical point of view, but there are simple explanations that are readily available for people without technical training.
chaotic models are, in short, as simple as the everyday, and as complex as attempts to model them mathematically.
But what is clear is that the Chaos, along with the famous law of "action and reaction", can work together with sometimes unfortunate results.
Delille "action" and had the "reaction" question. The same, by the grace of the unpredictability of the many variables in real life, was amplified getting to become a waterfall that ruined the ecology of a vast territory.
The French government honored Delille, who became a god of French farmers.
His action, I think, was one of the most irresponsible acts of a single man against nature.
And keep in mind that this was in 1952, long before technology put in the hands of scientists (in our hands) ways to enhance the efficiency of the annihilation techniques.

How Much Do A Dialysis Tech Earns
Deep Purple - report
Past 20 and February 22 was presented, as is a healthy habit, Deep Purple in Argentina.
The Purple is one of my favorite bands and, curiously, had never been to one of several concerts that took place in Buenos Aires. Not wanting to miss this opportunity, and with the protection of my 14 years, I went to Luna Park, country, elderly care section.
The concert was fantastic, but evidently felt the grind of the band, the day before (21) had played in the Cosquín Rock.
Nevertheless, looked great, as evidenced by the following graphic file I took with my phone:
Particularly affected was Ian Gillian. It was wrong of the throat, which for a singer of a band like Purple is the same as talking to a guitarist that is missing a hand, but managed to overcome the difficulties with his usual professionalism and the help of sound engineer, which reduced sound of her voice almost inaudible limits.
Energy, which says energy left over. Although four of the five members have walked past or 60 years, on stage was fantastic dynamics, and insist on witnessing the following graphic file, where it sees Ian Paice to a full, his face conveying a mixture of effort (15%), empathy (25%) and enjoyment (the remaining%):
Perhaps Gillian throat problems, coupled with a sound that was not the best, and saturation of smoke in the air (from burning substances arguably still legal) has made my perception of the letter of the new issues has not been the best.
So, I took note of songs like "Grushhhtiom flots", "profich dling" and "Arrrrrgh", all prowling the same argument: the difficult story of an elderly no throat, trying to cope with a show of less than two hours without need intensive care team.
to be finalized, amazing what Steve Morse. A guy with the skill and talent of Steve may well have touched taco, but put a pile of parts that it would like less gifted guitarists and younger.
To show your cool, I return to testify in the following graph paper, to see the presence and paints (because the fair has his own) of one of the best rock guitarists today:
In short: a great concert (despite the sound problems), a great atmosphere (despite the excessive smoke from burning substances), a large company (most present could hardly stand, and his advanced age, but it made me feel young), and a tremendous thrill to see a band so important to my teenage years. Sorry

Emmy Noether (II)
Edmund Landau: "Emmy is certainly an eminent mathematician, but I'm not sure it's women"
Norbert Wiener: "Your students swarm between her and her mother hen chicks"
Hermann Weyl: "Thanks not governed its cradle
Weyl himself said:" We called the Noether, but with the respectful recognition of its power as a creative thinker, who had broken the barriers of sex "
Short and stocky, deep voice and unrefined, neglected his dress and hair styling for an Emmy and was difficult being a woman and Jewish in Germany in the 30's.
His biggest "sin", however, was not that. Emmy Noether
, possibly one of the most brilliant minds of the twentieth century was, for any cultural standard, definitely ugly.

Adrian Paenza (IV) Jorge Luis Borges
bought the latest book by Adrian: "Mathematics, you there? (Chapter 100)."
Like the other three, this new release is desirable from every point of view for those who like to exercise the mind.
Obviously, math is the leitmotif, but the challenge clearly lies elsewhere.
not waste time, and treat yourself (or give away) this book. I assure you will not regret it.
Look what I am sure, still not started reading it and I recommend it ...

"I close my eyes and see a flock of birds. The vision lasts a second or perhaps less, not how many birds I saw. Was definite or indefinite number? The problem involves the existence of God. If God exists, the number is definite, because God knows how many birds I saw. If God does not exist, the number is indefinite, because nobody could keep track. In such case, I saw less than ten birds (say) and more than one, but did not see nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three or two birds. I saw a number between ten and one, which is not nine, eight, seven, six, five, and so on. That integer is inconceivable ergo, God exists. "
